Erica McLain is a U.S. Olympian (Beijing 2008) and the Founder & Principal Designer of MxD Interiors. A neuroscience-specialized interior designer, she translates evidence from neuroaesthetics and biophilic research into practical design for real homes and workplaces. Her approach—think circadian-tuned lighting, stress-reducing acoustics, visual patterns that calm, and authentic use of raw materials—acts like a non-invasive, daily therapy that enables people to have more productive days and enjoy more restful nights. With degrees from Stanford and UC Berkeley, and 15+ years in design and product strategy at Facebook and Google, Erica orchestrates complex variables so spaces feel intuitive, soulful, and quietly restorative. Through her educational initiative, Living Luxury Lab, she shares science-informed design standards so that more people can thrive within their built environments. Arina Gurfinkel, the founder and creative force behind RoCo&Xander, is recognized for her thoughtful design perspective and her distinctive ability to layer textures, shapes, and handcrafted elements to create interiors that embody effortless sophistication and relaxed luxury. Guided by an entrepreneurial spirit cultivated from an early age, she built a successful career in finance, yet never lost her connection to the creative world that was shaped by her upbringing - an influence she attributes largely to her father.

As Owner and Principal of Studio 11 Design, Kellie Sirna’s entrepreneurial acumen and creative perspective have been honed over two decades of traveling the world and designing some of the hospitality industry’s most inspiring spaces. Since founding the firm in 2011, she has led global projects across boutique and renowned nameplates including IHG Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide, Caesars Entertainment, and Hyatt Hotels, along with award-winning concepts in lifestyle, F&B, and luxury resorts.
Under Kellie’s leadership, Studio 11 Design has expanded its creative reach through the development of two partner companies: Brand Bottega, a brand identity studio specializing in storytelling for hospitality and lifestyle concepts, and Lou Verne, an art curation and styling firm that brings a tailored, artistic layer to interior environments.
Kellie serves on the boards of Braemar Hotels & Resorts and Hospitality Design Magazine, and is a member of MCBA, YPO Global Hospitality, and YPO Mustang. A recipient of the American Business Awards’ Woman of the Year and a D CEO 500 honoree, she has been featured and quoted in leading publications including Forbes, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, ELLE Decor, Condé Nast Traveler, and Hospitality Design.

Kaky Kuby – Lead Designer, Studio Thomas James
Kaky Kuby brings a refined eye and meticulous attention to detail to her work at Studio Thomas James. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Interior Design, she combines strong technical skill with a thoughtful, creative approach. Kaky has contributed to two Kips Bay Decorator Show Houses, gaining hands-on experience with high-profile, luxury design projects. She collaborates closely with Philip Thomas Vanderford and the studio team, guiding concept development, material selection, and project execution with precision and care. Known for her professionalism and refined sensibility, Kaky plays a key role in translating Studio Thomas James’ bespoke visions into highly curated, one-of-a-kind interiors, supporting the studio’s reputation for elegance, craftsmanship, and sophistication.

A testament to the notion that “there are no coincidences in life,” an impromptu encounter in New York City laid the groundwork for what would become one of Dallas’ most sought-after design firms. Introduced through mutual friends at a Manhattan party in 2011, Mike and Bryan Yates set out on a journey that would see them become partners in life as well as in Yates Desygn, weaving a passion for style, design, and fun throughout both ventures.
Brought together by their shared passion for style and design, Mike and Bryan Yates married their talents and personal visions and created a firm that captures the style and distinctive personalities of the people who inhabit the spaces they bring to life. In doing so, the duo places a premium on the relationships between their team members, partners, and clients, which are so integral to the success of each project.
In addition to the firm’s impressive portfolio of client work, the duo participated in the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas in 2021 and 2025, launched its first wall-covering collection, “Ever x Yates” in 2023, and continues to be featured in national and regional media.
