Amazon and Dwell with Dignity Team Up to Transform the John Lewis Social Justice Academy at O.W. Holmes Middle School in South Dallas
With students returning to school across the Dallas area, Amazon has teamed up with Dwell with Dignity to design and fully furnish two teachers’ lounges and the new Reset Center at the John Lewis Social Justice Academy at Oliver Wendell Holmes Middle School.
Given the impact of the pandemic on teachers, Dwell with Dignity and Amazon wanted to recognize the hard work and dedication of the entire faculty and staff at the John Lewis Social Justice Academy by providing them a sanctuary to unwind and relax. The existing teachers’ lounges were in desperate need of an update. There was very minimal furniture, and the interiors did not reflect a welcoming space that gave the staff a place to relax and feel appreciated. Dwell with Dignity completely transformed the two spaces, adding new appliances, such as refrigerators and microwaves; a coffee and tea bar; televisions; comfortable seating for relaxation; work stations; and flexible tables for meetings – almost all of the products can be found on Amazon.
