When is comes to incredible supporters of our mission, our friends at IBB Design Fine Furnishings are just about as loyal and generous as they come. The talented design team at IBB has been volunteering and donating to Dwell with Dignity since 2013 when they participated in our Spring 2013 Thrift Studio. Shay Geyer and the IBB team took on the Thrift Studio design challenge again this year. This crew not only creating a stunning vignette, but they also served as our “Swag Bag” sponsor. We are thrilled to spotlight Shay and IBB today on our blog!

As an ARTS Awards winner for  best furniture store in the country, IBB Design Fine Furnishings has created a showroom where design dreams come true. Once an interior design solo effort on the part of designer Beth Rafferty, the business she founded more than 30 years ago has since grown into a firm encompassing a 40,000-square-foot fine furnishings store and design resource center staffed by seventeen professional designers. IBB, located in Frisco, offers a diverse mix of name-brand home furnishings and accessories hand-selected by their design staff from markets around the world. Regarded as “The place to shop for furnishings with style and luxurious designer details”, IBB’s sizable inventory offers something beautiful for every budget. In IBB’s expansive store, patrons are free to shop a showroom floor that features a wide range of styles—everything from retro-mod to French Country chic looks—or employ one of IBB Design Group’s expert designers to finish their rooms.

DwD Founder and President Lisa Robison and Shay Geyer

Shay lead the IBB team and created yet another amazing vignette at Thrift Studio. Designing professionally since 2001, Shay’s passion for interiors and interior products makes creating beautiful spaces for clients a true dream job.  Her projects are often regarded as “livable luxe” in which she infuses unique elements and statement pieces that still offer comfortable living. Her portfolio ranges from commercial spaces including projects for dentists and major corporations to residential projects around the country including high rises and sprawling estates. Shay has been the design expert for WFAA’s Good Morning Texas since 2006.  Her design segments can be seen on the show every Friday morning. At DwD, we are honored to have Shay serve on our Advisory Board since 2015. Shay always goes above and beyond to help support our mission to help families escape poverty and homelessness through design; one household at a time.

“Inspired by Dwell with Dignitys work to bring happiness to the homes of deserving families, we chose dynamic jewel tones. Jewel tones evoke happiness and the vibrancy of life. To complement teal, fuchsia and blue metallic accessories will bring a touch of luxe to the vignette.”
